Social Bookmarks for HCI

I decided to make accessible an overview of all the resources and interesting pieces of information that I collected in the area of human computer interaction during various journeys through the Internet. I thought it to be a great idea if I'd collect all sorts of content in a Social Bookmarking service in order to make discoveries and findings available through the Internet. The most popular platform del.icio.us was close to being shut down and so I decided to put my bookmarks about HCI into another bookmarking service instead. Mister Wong offers a decent alternative; It allows to individualize user profiles and comes with an interesting group feature. My Human Computer Interaction profile is named Human Computer Interaction and is available here: http://www.mister-wong.de/user/hci/.

The most important social feature of del.icio.us is, that it automatically suggests valid tags for new links based on the tags other users already added to the link. This comes in very handy when adding new bookmarks. That is the reason why I will also keep my del.icio.us account updated (available at http://www.delicious.com/steve_stein/interaction) as long as the platform is still there.

Hello,

I am Steve Stein, M.Sc. in Digital Media and Diploma Computer Scientist (Media Informatics). My special interest is "Information Architecture (IA)"and I am active in this area for about 10 years now. Besides my Master Thesis about handling Information in the Information Age and my earlier Diploma Thesis about Information Usability and Accessibility I am lately exploring the area of Human Computer Interaction (HCI) as well as User Experience (UX) Design, Semantic Web (Web 3.0) Design, Social Network Analysis (SNA) and Search Engine Engineering (SEE).

With this Blog I just started combining my various scientific profiles, research resources and useful presentations/documents for the area of "Human Computer Interaction (HCI)" under the hood of a blog. This should help to keep up with my different shared articles, tweets and social links in the area of "Information Architecture (IA)".
